College Application Workshop:
A 5-Day Intensive Program for College-Bound Students

Do you know a student that could benefit from direction, oversight, and support in getting their college applications completed?

This 5-day immersive program is designed to give college-bound students a completed and reviewed college application.

Who is it for?

  • Students who want to learn about themselves and the college application process as well as learn from college admissions professionals what they look for in an application.
Seniors will benefit from the career exploration as well as having a completed application prior to the start of school.
Underclassman will benefit from career exploration as well as learning where their narrative needs shouldering up and doing a dry run of the application process.

Day 1: Discover Your Identity and Potential Majors

  • Hear directly from a college admissions representative about what truly makes an application stand out.

  • (This will be a webinar parents can attend and ask questions)

  • Take three insightful assessments: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a personal values inventory, and an interest profiler.

  • Use the results to clarify your strengths, values, majors, and potential career paths.

  • Learn how to connect your identity and aspirations to a compelling college application narrative.

  • Create a career plan that includes college and beyond.

Day 2: Determine Your Hook and Dive Into the Common App

  • Get organized, get strategic, and get writing.

  • Learn how to evaluate whether a college is an academic and personal fit.

  • Build a customized college list that reflects your goals.

  • Start your Common App and draft the Activities & Honors sections.

  • Craft your unique “hook” to make your application memorable.

Day 3:  Craft and Hone Your Essays

  • Review examples of powerful personal essays and what makes them work.

  • Workshop essay ideas.

  • Time to write and polish.

  • Dive into drafting your personal statement with guidance from expert coaches.

  • Create an application calendar with deadlines and milestones.

Day 4 & 5: Personalized Application Review & Mock Interviews

  • Have your application reviewed by a seasoned admissions reader who will give constructive feedback.

  • Identify and fix any application gaps or red flags.  (for underclassman, they will learn what they need to focus on the following years to improve their viability)

  • Participate in a mock interview with tailored feedback to boost confidence and performance.
